Stacking & Covering Reclaimed Lumber

Stacking & Covering Reclaimed Lumber

I’m finally finished removing nails from reclaimed lumber to be used around my brother’s ranch and to build a porch for my small house in the woods. This project has taken almost 4 days, not less than 8 hours each day of unbending and pulling nails. Now that all the nails have been pulled, I’ve arranged the lumber in similar lengths to be stacked and covered. The next time I touch this lumber I want to be either loading it on a trailer to take to the woods or start building on my brother’s ranch.

Using reclaimed lumber is a great way to save money because the lumber I took the nails from would’ve cost well over 1 thousand dollars if I bought it from the lumber yard, but in this case, I had to give up time and energy to remove the nails, stack, treat, and cover the lumber.

All in all, it’s a win win!
