The rain started today about 3 p.m. It’s 7 now, and it’s still raining. Not a heavy rain, but a nice slight drumming on the roof. When it rains like this, it reminds me of the reasons I put tin on my rooftop. One of the main reasons is hearing the sound of the raindrops beating against the tin and listening to the sound it makes hitting the leaves in the trees and on the ground outside.
It takes a lot for me to stay awake and keep working because today is the kind of day that I’d like to just curl up with a book, nap, and read off and on all day.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, I don’t let myself do that, but it would be nice, especially since it’s been raining all day.
